Cuisinart Coffee MakerJul 29, 2010 This is our fourth Cusinart coffee maker. We love the grind and brew feature that can be programed to come on before you get up in the morning. We buy fresh beans from Dunkin Donuts. This machine has a built in coffee mill as opposed to the blade grinders. It is easy to clean and makes great coffee.
We had trouble with this from the beginningJul 28, 2010 The grinder gets jammed up quite easily which shuts down the entire operation of the coffeemaker. It happened with the 2nd cup of coffee we made and continued to happen until we got fed up and decided enough was enough. There's a design flaw here somewhere. Gave it 2 stars since the time worked and the coffee was good, so if you don't plan to grind your own coffee and want a REALLY overpriced coffee maker, choose this one.
Cuisinart Grind & BrewJul 28, 2010 We've been using this coffee maker every morning for 3 years, it starts automatically every morning as our alarm clock. We've never had a more reliable brewer. When we go on vacation we take it with us for the morning grind and due to the number of folks staying with us, usually brew two 12 cuppers. Then in the evening brew another 12.
We highly recommend it. We use Starbucks House Blend and it's consistancy and ability to make the same delicious pot every time can't be beat!
Appreciated giftJul 26, 2010 This coffee maker was a gift to my daughter and her family. They are delighted with every aspect of this appliance.
Liar Liar, coffee's not even on fireJul 23, 2010 After what I thought was a very diligent research of coffee makers, I have come to the conclusion that there are still some gigantic gaping holes in the world of shopping on the web - this coffee maker represents one of those holes. My criteria was pretty simple: find a coffee maker that would make as close to a cup of french press as possible, or, just a good, strong cup of coffee. Every site that I found that had reviews of coffee makers had basically the same info, how many dials, how many cups, programmable, blah, blah, blah. No one had the balls to say good cup of coffee, strong coffee, etc. This coffee maker got high marks for the "potential" for a strong cup since there's a setting for mild, med, & strong, but what we got, even after setting to strong, for 12 cups of coffee and using 6 cups of water (that should do it huh?) was barely passable cafe coffee. We even had to send the first one back because it only made tainted water. Several calls to Cuisinart didn't even fix the limp wristed swill that came out. For the non-discerning, non-flavor oriented consumer, this may work fine. Looking for a strong cup? Move on.
