a good perc at lastJun 05, 2010 After buying several poorly designed percolators we finally found this one which has performed superbly. Just wish it had been made in the USA.
Pretty WeakJun 04, 2010
I've had the perk for about 4 mos now and it's very hard to make good strong coffee. However I'm use to the old Corning-ware elec. perk which cannot be beat. I've tried adding more coffee and when I do the grinds spill over into the water. So I will rock along with it for a while then try another brand. Nothing is going to replace the quality of the perk or coffee as those old Corning-ware so guess I'm a bit spoiled. These things are pretty cheaply built and I'm surprised the folks Cuisinart would place their name on such...not good business.Oh, stay the hell away from those old Corning-ware electric perks for daily use I had one and the collar just exploded off the top knocking over water glasses etc on the sink. Would put out a eye very quickly. If you are using one secure the collar somehow. That glue they used will finally get hard and the collar will come flying off!!! Not sure what brand I'll try next but will dig deeper into my research before buying another perk! I want quality and willing to pay for it, this Cuisinart is not quality!!!!
coffee potMay 22, 2010 I wanted a 12 cup percolator and this was the only one I could find. The first one I recieved was defective but i9t was promtly replaced and i ma very happy with the second one.
dissapointedMay 03, 2010 I didn't like this coffee maker because I didn't like the fact that it didn't maintain a high temperature in the pot. so I put it in a closet.
CrapApr 08, 2010 If you only want a year out of your coffee maker, buy this one. This is our third and all failed within a year an a half.
